Tips to form a startup in Spain
In general, creating your own startup in Spain is not a very complicated process, however, depending on the type of business to be started, it may be somewhat tedious. Follow these tips to create your startup easily.
Create your own business in Spain
If you are a European citizen, creating a startup is quite fast, however if we are outside the European Union we need to have a work permit so that we can move to Spain and create our own business. This work permit must be applied for at the Spanish Embassy in our country, you must bear in mind that this type of permit requires annual renewal.
On the other hand, if we take into account that there are different types of business structures, depending on which one suits us best, the process can be lengthy, for example, if we want to create a limited company, which is very common to create a startup, we may lose a lot of time in meeting the financial requirements that are necessary to have.
Steps to follow:
You must have a Foreigner’s Tax Identification Number (NIE), if you don’t have it yet, you must apply for one at a foreign citizen’s processing office at a Spanish police station.
You need to register your company name in the Commercial Register.
Once you have registered your company, you must obtain a tax identification number (CIF).
You must open a business bank account
The company’s deed of incorporation must then be signed and the company registered.
The last step is to register for social security.
To carry out these steps in a comfortable, safe and simple way, the best thing to do is to hire a manager to take care of all the paperwork. If you do not have experience in this type of management, it is also the fastest option to get our company up and running as soon as possible.
